U SPORTS today announced CGIS as the title partner of the 2025 U SPORTS women’s rugby championship, set for October 29 – November 2, 2025 at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, and hosted by the University of British Columbia (UBC).
The five-day, 11-game national championship will bring together the top eight university programs in Canada, including the host UBC Thunderbirds, to compete for the Monilex Trophy.
CGIS has had a long appreciation and investment in the greater rugby community, their support of the 2025 U SPORTS women’s rugby championship will help shine the proper spotlight on the talented student-athletes who make up the best women’s rugby teams from across Canada.
This marks the second time UBC will stage the event, having last hosted in 2009. With Vancouver’s reputation as a world-class rugby hub and UBC’s proven hosting pedigree, the 27th edition of the championship promises an exceptional experience for student-athletes and fans alike.
