True Sport Spotlight: Ace Volleyball Club

As one of the largest volleyball clubs in Canada, Ace Volleyball Club inspires its athletes to not only excel in the game of volleyball, but to also be ambassadors of the game by giving back to their communities and charitable organizations.

“As coaches, we can have such a huge impact on these kids. Parents and players focus a lot on winning these days, but I believe that the impact we can have by using sport to help develop good people through community involvement will be more fulfilling.” said David Wildman, Founder and President of Ace Volleyball Club.

Resource Reminder: No Ref, No Game

One year ago, Sport Manitoba developed the #NoRefNoGame social media campaign as part of their commitment to True Sport, and to raise awareness about the maltreatment of officials in sport.
The campaign is a reminder that sport officials need to be treated with respect, because without them, there would be no game. The campaign is supported by a series of generic and sport-specific social media tiles that are available to download.
