The National Search has Kicked off for Football Canada’s Amatuer Coach of the Year

Is there a coach that makes a difference in their community by going above and beyond that deserves some recognition? For the fourth consecutive year, the national search is on for the Football Canada Coach of the Year. Once again, the Community Coach Awards will be selected in two categories: U14 and U18. Overall, this award highlights coaches who have made positive contributions to the sport from coast to coast while demonstrating a significant impact on the development of youth on and off the field. “Our community coaches across the country are vitally important in the lives of young Canadians and the development of our sport,” expressed Aaron Geisler, Director of Sport.  “The hard work, dedication and time they put into the game of football is something we want to recognize and appreciate.” Football Canada is welcoming nominations from coast-to-coast for both categories.  In order to nominate a coach, EITHER a video OR written submission will be accepted.  The submission must reflect two key components of this award:

  • The positive impact the coach has had on youth players
  • Considerations of how the coach instructs key components of the game such as respect, safety, motivation, leadership and appreciation for the sport

 NOMINATE YOUR COACH TODAY:

  • Nominate a coach via social media using the hashtag #FCCOTY2020 and by tagging your Provincial Football Association
