The CCES Continues to Implement Trusted COVID-19 Procedures

(Ottawa, Ontario – March 29, 2021) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) would like to thank Canadian athletes and support personnel for their ongoing support for and cooperation with doping control activities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful for the sport community’s ongoing commitment to clean sport, especially in a year filled with so much uncertainty.

Survey data* from our True Sport Clean e-learning course and the COVID-19 and the Return to Testing module shows that the sport community has confidence in the COVID-19 supplemental procedures. From nearly 20,000 responses, 14,144 respondents agreed that they felt the supplemental procedures would keep athletes and sample collection personnel safe during sample collection, and only 1,218 disagreed.
