With just over 100 days remaining until the 2025 Canada Summer Games, Kirsten Bobbie, Team Ontario’s Chef de Mission, is excited to announce the volunteer Mission Staff.
This group will support the province’s athletes, coaches, and managers in and around the Games, which will be held from August 8th to 25th in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Mission Staff work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation and success of Team Ontario at the Games. These volunteers are the primary link between the athletes, coaches, and managers of their designated sport, their provincial sport organization, and Team Ontario staff. From logistics to events and sport technical to communications, Mission Staff work tirelessly so participants can focus solely on optimizing their performance and embracing the Games experience.
“We are pleased to have such a dedicated and skilled Mission Staff in place to support Team Ontario and ensure that all members of Team O have the best possible experience at the Games”, said Bobbie. “The dedication, expertise, and passion of this group will ensure that all of Team O have the support they need to excel. Together, we have built a team that embodies the spirit of Ontario — resilient, inclusive, and ready to shine on the national stage.”
This year’s Mission Staff bring extensive experience from the sport and recreation community and beyond. All of these volunteers will utilize their skills to showcase, promote, and support the next generation of Ontario athletes throughout the Games.
