Canadian Lacrosse Association – The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) is pleased to announce Matt Brown as head coach and Dan Carey as the team coordinator of the Canadian Men’s U19 Field Lacrosse Team. This team will represent Canada at the Men’s U19 Lacrosse World Championship in Ireland in July 2020.

Matt Brown has been working with Team Canada since 2012, now taking on the role of head coach. He was an assistant coach in 2012 and 2016 for the Men’s U19 World Championships, and in 2014 and 2018 for the Men’s World Championships. He is the associate head coach at the University of Denver, and co-founder of both United States Box Lacrosse Association & Academy and the LXTC – Lacrosse Training Center. Brown has an extensive playing career in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Major Lacrosse League (MLL).

Dan Carey is the General Manager, VP and Governor of the Rochester Knighthawks. Before this, he held a similar role with the Colorado Mammoth. Carey played for many years in the NLL with the Colorado Mammoth and the Toronto Rock. He is a Team Canada alumnus who competed at the 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship. In 2018, he returned to Team Canada as a staff member.
