Ottawa, ON – Taekwondo Canada is pleased to announce the upcoming location and dates for its 2023 Canadian National Championships. The championships will be held in Toronto, Ontario at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel from January 4th to 7th, 2023.


This year’s National Championships will bring together the best athletes across the country in both the
Kyorugi discipline, as well as the poomsae discipline. The Kyorugi competition will be open to Youth, Cadet, Junior and Senior divisions, whereas the Poomsae competition will include all divisions of Recognized and Freestyle Poomsae and two Para Poomsae divisions. This event will be used to select Canada’s National Teams for 2023 International events, including the Santiago 2023 Pan Am Games Qualifier.


“We are extremely excited to bring the Taekwondo Canada National Championships back to Toronto for
2023”, said Executive Director Dave Harris. “The decision was made with the intention of making travel for
the event easier for those throughout Canada via a centralized location. Our partnership with the Westin
Harbour Castle Hotel was also a determining decision in returning to Toronto this year. We look forward to hosting all our participants and starting the 2023 year in Toronto”.
