Colleen Coderre brings over 25 years of experience in sport communications and sport management, supporting dozens of sport organizations across Canada. For the past eight years, she has operated her own communications consulting business, collaborating with sport leaders to develop comprehensive communications plans, overseeing and managing social media content, and serving as a trusted media relations professional. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade with Sail Canada in Kingston, Ontario, serving as a Communications Manager.
“We are very excited to have Colleen join our team of dedicated sport consultants to enhance the effectiveness and quality of our clients’ strategic communications requirements. Sport leaders require trusted and experienced consultants to help them navigate uncertainty and complex communications challenges. Having collaborated with Colleen on other projects, we know firsthand how skillful, respectful and collaborative she is when working through difficult and time sensitive situations. We look forward to having her strengthen our clients’ communications plans, social media strategies and media relations needs,” shared Sport Law Partner, Dina Bell-Laroche.
In addition, Colleen has served as a media attaché for Team Canada at four Olympic Games (2012–2024), two Pan American Games (2015, 2023), and the 2016 Paralympic Games. Representing Team Canada has been a career highlight, reminding Colleen of the power of sport to inspire. She loves dedicating her career to sport because it is so much more than just competition – everyone has a story to tell – the glory of winning, the grace in losing, the learning in trying, and the strength in continuing.
Colleen is passionate about helping organizations uncover and amplify their authentic voice—from grassroots to high performance—ensuring messaging remains relatable, relevant, and resonant. She also specializes in crisis communications, guiding organizations through complex challenges with clarity, compassion and confidence.
“I’m thrilled to join Sport Law—a team that shares my passion and commitment for elevating sport in Canada,” said Coderre. “Having worked closely with numerous sport organizations across the country, I’ve experienced how dramatically the media and digital landscapes have evolved. It’s no surprise that sport leaders are looking for support as they adapt to these new realities. I’m excited to work alongside Sport Law’s clients to help shape communications that are thoughtful, strategic, and impactful.”
