The Spo Ho Xperience partnership group is now accepting bids from host communities in Canada who are interested in bidding to host the Spo Ho Xperience event in Fall 2025.
If you’re a destination marketing organization (DMO) who is ready to showcase your destination,
highlight local venues, and partner with us to deliver an exclusive (unrivaled), interactive and
boutique gathering of sport hosting industry professionals from Canada and the USA, it’s now time to express your interest in hosting SPOHOX25!
The Opportunity
The SPOHOX brand was launched in February 2023 and the first edition of the event took place on October 11-12, 2023, in Ottawa at the Infinity Convention Centre. The second edition is slated for October 28-29, 2024, in Charlottetown (in partnership with the City of Charlottetown – SCORE and Meetings & Conventions PEI) at the PEI Brewing Company and Confederation Centre of the Arts. The projected economic impact of the event for Charlottetown in 2024 is $480,000.
A DMO host partner will have the opportunity to showcase its destination to key decision-makers in sport who have been vetted and pre-qualified as rights holders with events open for bid. Hosting SPOHOX25 will be a unique opportunity for a Canadian community to be affiliated with a cutting edge industry event that is modern, trendy, and professionally managed. SPOHOX is a one-of-a kind experiential mash-up of an industry think tank summit and a FAM tour.
The Bidding Process
Bidding DMO partners are required to submit a letter of intention to bid by April 1, 2024.
Full proposals are due by May 3, 2024, at 5 pm ET.
