Special Olympics Manitoba – Announcing our 2020 National Winter Games Provincial Team

Special Olympics Manitoba – Special Olympics Manitoba is proud to announce our 2020 Provincial Team heading to the Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games in Thunder Bay in February of next year.

Made up of 60 athletes and 25 Coaches & Mission Staff, the team has been training hard since their selection after the 2019 Provincial Winter Games.

Competing in the sports of 5-Pin Bowling (new to the Winter Games), Alpine Ski, Cross Country Ski, Curling, Floor Hockey, Snowshoe, and Speed Skating, athletes from across the province are thrilled at the opportunity to show the rest of Canada what they have to offer.

“Our athletes are training hard and pushing themselves to be the best they can be. We’re really looking forward to Thunder Bay and can’t wait to compete against the rest of the country,” said Chef de Mission, Darren Hemeryck.
