Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada and the Men’s National Team coaching staff are pleased to announce the Canadian Men’s National Team roster that will compete at the 2022 Men’s Pan American Championship scheduled from February 19 to 27 in Parana, Argentina.
Softball Canada previously announced twelve (12) core players to the Men’s National Team in May 2021 and has added four (4) athletes from the athlete pool to complete the roster. The athletes joining Team Canada are Cory Jones (Leduc, Alta.), Justin Laskowski (Warman, Sask.), Devon McCullough (Saskatoon, Sask.) and Zach Pierce (Saskatoon, Sask.).
The coaching staff made their selections after scouting at the Rawlings Grand Slam Championship and other major events held throughout the year.
The Pan American Championship will serve as a qualifier for the 2022 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup that will take place November 26 to December 4, 2022 in Auckland, New Zealand. The top four finishers from the Pan American Championship will advance to the World Cup.
