(TORONTO, Ont.) The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) has unveiled the official game schedule for the IWBF Americas Under-23 Qualification tournament in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (March 8-12). Canada will compete against Brazil, Mexico, and the United States.

Canada’s men’s U23 team opens the tournament against the United States on March 8 (7:00 p.m. EST). Then, Canada tips off against Brazil on March 9 (4:30 p.m. EST) and faces the host Mexicans on March 10 (4:30 p.m. EST).

Two spots for the IWBF Men’s U23 World Championship will be up for grabs in Mexico.

The U23 World Championship will take place from September 8-16, 2022, in Phuket, Thailand. The tournament will feature the top 12 countries from the four zones. The 2022 championship will be the seventh U23 tournament – Toronto hosted the 2017 competition where Great Britain won gold and Canada finished sixth.
