Ringette Ontario and Oshawa Ringette Association to Host the 2019 ECRC.

Ringette Canada – SCARBOROUGH (April 16th, 2019) – The annual Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships (ECRC) are just days away! Teams from Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and Prince Edwards Island will be meeting in Oshawa from April 18th – 21st, 2019 to compete for title of champion. The Championships will be hosted by Ringette Ontario and the Oshawa Ringette Association.

Ringette Ontario’s Executive Director, Pamela Julian, shared the organization’s enthusiasm surrounding the Championships. “Ringette Ontario is excited to be hosting the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships with the Oshawa Ringette Association. Ringette is an incredible sport but is so much more than a game. This event allows us to showcase our strong community values as we roll out the welcome mat to our ringette families in the East.”

“After partnering with and diligently work with the City of Oshawa, and the Region of Durham, the Oshawa Ringette Board was thrilled to hear that Oshawa would be the host for the 2019 Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships. The committee was quickly formed, which include representatives from across Central Region Ringette and the City of Oshawa. We found a tremendous platinum level sponsor in First Choice Haircutters who have been very generous in sponsorship and donations. The team has been meeting diligently for over a year now and are committed to delivering a high quality and high energy event for the participants. We are also thrilled that games will be broadcasted online so that no one misses any of the action,” stated this year’s ECRC Chair, Colin Deans.

Teams from Forest, Ottawa and Oshawa will represent Ontario at the Championships in the U14AA, U16A and U19A divisions. Games will be played at Delpark Home Centre (formerly Legends Centre) and match-ups will be live-streamed on sportscanada.tv. Schedules are also available on www.score2stats.com.
