Racquetball Canada Announces World Championships Teams

WINNIPEG, November 24, 2021 – Racquetball Canada is pleased to announce the teams that will represent Canada at the upcoming World Championships and Junior World Championships in Guatemala. Athletes were selected from Racquetball Canada’s National Teams.

The World Championships run from November 28 to December 6, 2021. The Junior World Championships take place from December 2 to 11, 2021. Both tournaments are being held at the Domo Complejo de Racquetball in Guatemala City.

“I couldn’t be happier or more excited for our athletes to be able to return to international competition,” said Jen Saunders, Racquetball Canada’s High Performance Director. “This is what they live and train for – to be able to play for Team Canada and represent their country with skill, passion and integrity. I look forward to supporting them and our coaching staff at the World Championships.”

The Junior World Championships normally occur annually, but the tournament did not take place in 2020. The World Championships take place every two years but were postponed from 2020 until this year. The International Racquetball Federation (IRF) will resume the normal World Championship cycle in 2022.

This year’s World Championships are a qualifying event for the 2022 World Games being held in Birmingham, USA.
