LBB starts 2021 with confidence and ambitions

After celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2020 and passing through the first
months of the pandemic with agility, resilience, and innovation, LBB is proud to make the following 2021 announcements:

LBB’s Strategic planning. Following a strategic thinking aimed at continuing its growth and relevance in the sporting and active living industry, LBB launches 4 buckets of specialized services targeting 4 markets or types of organizations such as:

  • Organizations being federated, Olympic, Paralympic or Professional
  • Events, festivals, and tourism destinations
  • Facilities’ owners and managers (sports, parks and public spaces and resorts)
  • Public organisations such as governments, cities, education institutions.

LBB’s Team is growing. Thanks to the federal program MITACS, Vincent Lauzon (Master in Strategy at HEC Montreal) was drafted and recruited by LBB to work on LBB’s projects and on the development of new markets. Thus, Vincent joins Béatrice, Julie, Manon, Pier-Olivier, LBB’s support staff and our network of experts involved in LBB’s projects.

Diverse and exciting sports projects. Since the beginning of 2021, LBB has the opportunity of working with organisations such as the CCES, Sail Canada, Swimming Canada, Tennis Canada, Water polo Canada, Canadian ski resorts, Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance (CSIA), FIFA 2026 (Montréal), Montreal Olympic Park, CWFHC (Weightlifting), university of Ottawa, McGill and HEC Montréal, Canadian Cities and regions.

Appointments. Benoit Girardin is appointed by sports organisations as independent complaint officer to receive and manage safe sport complaints. Benoit is also appointed by NSOs to develop inclusion and diversity, safe sport and concussion policies and training programs as well as COVID-19 plans and protocols. Benoit was also appointed on the Canadian and Quebec task forces on the recovery and return to hosting of sporting events. Benoit is also a guest speaker at the SEC 2021 of Sport Tourism Canada.

Major Games. Benoit Girardin acts as legal counsel for the Canadian Paralympic Committee in relation to the 2021 Tokyo and 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games.
