Questions about Mandatory Vaccination Policies? We Have Answers!

We have been receiving a lot of questions about vaccination policies and passports since the Ontario Government implemented a vaccine passport system. Although the Ontario regulations put the onus on the facility owners/operators to ensure compliance, many municipalities, universities and private owners are passing down that obligation onto their renters. This is having a significant impact on sporting organizations of all sizes – especially their volunteers. 

Due to the ongoing frustration and confusion in the market, Durant Barristers is hosting an education and question and answer session for sports organizations, staff, athletes, coaches and volunteers on vaccine passport requirements and policies on September 29, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. It is our hope to share as much information with the sporting community during this session as possible to help during this challenging time at a low cost. 

Join us to learn about balancing safety of participants while being mindful of privacy and human rights concerns. We will be joined by special guest speaker Roberto Ghignone of BLG law who has a practice focused on privacy and health law. 

The program is geared towards helping sports organizations answer questions from their members about implementing vaccination policies and government regulations. The focus will be on the practical matters related to implementation. There will be approximately 30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of Q&A from the audience.
