(Victoria, BC – April 22, 2025) PISE (Pacific Institute for Sport Education) is excited to announce that the 14th Annual Family Sport & Recreation Festival, Presented by TD Bank will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 11 am – 3 pm at PISE.
Co-hosted by PISE and the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame, the festival is a free half-day of interactive sport and recreation activities for the family, located at PISE on Camosun College’s Interurban campus. The festival features various activities for all ages and ability levels, from team sports such as soccer, rowing, and hockey to individual sports – skating, swimming, karate, and more.
“We are thrilled that TD Bank has agreed again to be the presenting sponsor of our signature event, the Family Sport & Recreation Festival. On the first Saturday in May, we welcome upward of 2,000 people to experience the fun and benefits of trying new sports and activities that lead to a healthy lifestyle. With ongoing support from TD Bank, we are able to continue to build our inclusive event, ensuring a fun festival experience for the entire family,” says Robert Bettauer, CEO of PISE.
This is the third year that TD Bank has been the presenting sponsor of the Family Sport & Recreation Festival.
“We are proud to be sponsoring the Family Sport & Recreation Festival again,” says Bruce Gray, District Vice President, Vancouver Island for TD. “Not only does this event inspire kids and adults alike to be active and try new activities, it also brings people together to make meaningful connections through sport.”
The festival will kick off with a kids’ run around the track, marking the celebration of the track’s renaming to the Peninsula Co-op Track.
“Peninsula Co-op is honoured to have our name on the track at PISE and build a partnership that strengthens our shared commitment to community connection and active, healthy living for years to come,” says Brandi Natarelli, Manager, Community Relations, Peninsula Co-op.
“Corporations like TD Bank and Peninsula Co-op play a vital role in supporting organizations like PISE by investing in initiatives that foster growth and well-being in youth and our overall community. Their partnerships help build stronger, more resilient communities that benefit everyone,” adds Bettauer.
Food trucks will be onsite for snack and lunch options and there will be a raffle to help raise funds for PISE’s charitable activities.
