Ontario Lawn Bowls Association Appoints Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association is pleased to announce the appointment of GARY OSWALD as its Executive Director.

A graduate of Trent University and Durham College of Applied Arts and Technology, Mr. Oswald joins the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association after spending 18 years as Executive Director of Skate Canada – Central Ontario.  The Ajax, Ontario resident has over 25 years of experience in the non profit sector with a variety of non profit and charitable organizations.  In addition to his experience with Skate Canada – Central Ontario, Mr. Oswald has experience in the sports sector with the Ontario Sport Legends Hall of Fame as its Executive Director and the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club as the Assistant Director, Public Relations.  He is also a member of the Society for American Baseball Research.

Mr. Oswald will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association, including, but not limited to planning, developing and organizing the efficient business operations of the Association in adherence to the Association’s strategic plan.

The Ontario Lawn Bowls Association is the governing body for lawn bowling in Ontario, In affiliation with Bowls Canada Boulingrin, its mandate is to promote, encourage, coordinate and administer the sport of Lawn Bowls and provide opportunities for all bowlers of all ages in Ontario to participate at their level of interest and ability.
