Newest International Umpires in Canada

Table Tennis Canada is extremely pleased to announce that on April 18, 2020; three National Umpires wrote and passed the International exam.   The successful candidates are:

Keven LACHAINE – Quebec
John MA – Ontario
Vincent TSE – Ontario

These three provided their services as umpires to Canada for several years.  They have volunteered their time at National Championships, Canada Cups, Canada Games and a variety of other tournaments within their Province.

Canada is fortunate to have three more officials added to the declining list of officials.  Keven, John and Vincent are the future for Canada.  They currently serve in their own Province at many events.

John and Vincent have become experts at “racket control” and are called upon at many events to perform their duties, besides umpire duties.

Keven is currently the Chair of the Umpires and Referees Committee for Canada and has assumed responsibility in this area that will benefit both players and officials across the country. Congratulations to all.
