Mizuno Canada and Softball Canada Extend Women’s National Team Apparel Partnership

Mississauga, Ont.  Mizuno Canada and Softball Canada are happy to announce a multi-year extension to their partnership that will see Mizuno continue to be the Official On-Field Apparel Supplier to Softball Canadas Womens and U18 Womens National Team programs.

Mizuno Canada is extremely excited to once again extend our partnership with Softball Canada’s Women’s National Teams stated Dave Bartlett, Director of Sales and Marketing, Team Sports at Mizuno Canada LTD. We have thoroughly enjoyed growing with Softball Canada, which ultimately culminated in watching them win a Bronze medal last season. We see our relationship with Softball Canada as a vital component in continuing the ascension of the game of softball in Canada, and we cant wait to work closely with their new coaching staff to ensure their teams are outfitted in the best Mizuno apparel to help these athletes perform at their very best. Mizuno Canada and Softball Canada are committed to help the sport of softball continue to cultivate great athletes and even greater people.

Mizuno Canada and Softball Canada have a long-standing relationship that dates to the early 2000s. Under the terms of the new extended agreement, both parties will continue to work closely together to design top quality uniforms that will showcase Softball Canadas brand internationally. As the Official On-Field Apparel Supplier to Softball Canadas Womens National Teams, Mizuno will supply jerseys, pants, socks, belts, and other on-field apparel that will be worn for international play. The agreement also includes a retail component that will allow fans an opportunity to support the Womens National Teams program.

We appreciate Mizuno Canadas ongoing dedication towards our Womens National Team programs said Womens National Team Head Coach Kaleigh Rafter. We have a saying on the Womens National team look good, feel good, play good and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Mizuno to ensure we can look, feel and play our very best on the field.

Canada is currently ranked 3rd in the WBSC Womens Softball World Rankings and is coming off winning a historic bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games. The 2022 season will see them compete at the Canada Cup in Surrey, B.C. (June 20-26), the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama (July 9-13) and the WBSC Americas Pan American Championship (dates and location to be determined) in 2022. Open identification camps are expected to be held in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Ontario in May/June, 2022, followed by a final selection camp in June.

The next U18 Womens National Team cycle will begin with Continental qualifiers to be held in 2023, followed by the U18 Womens Softball World Cup Group Stage in 2024 and the Finals in 2025 as the sport transitions to a new competition format.
