Thank you to all who attended the Pre-Special Meeting Virtual Information Session. We hope it was helpful for you in understanding the progress being made in our organization and allowed you to get to know most of the RCA Board members a little better. Please share your learnings with others, and feel free to contact Board members with your comments or concerns.

Wednesday, February 22, 2023 is the date of the Special Meeting that has been called for by 5% of our membership. For those who are voting, you have received instructions regarding the process to be part of the meeting and to vote at the meeting.  We encourage you to register, attend, vote, and participate, as this is a crucial period in shaping the future of rowing in Canada.  If you cannot vote that day, please send in your proxy form per the instructions you received on registering to vote. Every vote matters and so, silence, is effectively voting, but maybe not for the result you want. So please make your voice heard.

The current Board hopes that we will receive the confirmation of a majority of attending members on the 22^nd which will show our community is committed to making the best decisions for rowing in Canada. Our desire is to bring together all members of RCA after the Special meeting to address the impact this journey has had on our organization. We are committed to improving communications, improving our governance structures, and being more accessible to our members so we can work together towards sustainable solutions. Moving forward, we need to begin to heal, right the boat, and row together to continue the extraordinary work being done throughout Rowing Canada Aviron.  We are all equals, and in unity, we are Rowing Canada Aviron.
