Speed Skating Canada – Media Invited to the 2019 Canadian Short Track Championships from September 20-22 at Maurice-Richard Arena
MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Speed Skating Canada invites members of the media looking to attend the 2019 Canadian Short Track Championships this weekend in Montreal to signal their interest as soon as possible via email to François Hamelin (francois@balboasport.com).
The results from this event help determine which athletes qualify for the Racing Pool, from which Canada’s team for the ISU World Cups and World Championships is selected.
The event will take place from September 20-22 at the Maurice-Richard Arena and features the country’s top 24 skaters per gender. It is used to crown a national champion in each individual distance (500m, 1000m, 1500m) as well an overall champion. There will be finals of each of the competition days, at approximately 11:50 AM and again at 3:00 PM.
