Speed Skating Canada – Media Invited to Interview Skaters Who Will Compete at 2019 ISU World Short Track Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria from March 8-10

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Speed Skating Canada invites members of the media to speak to the athletes that will represent Canada at the upcoming 2019 ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. The skaters will be available for interviews beginning at 11:30 AM. Media wishing to record footage of practice races can do so from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM for the men’s team and from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM for the women’s team.

A total of 10 skaters were selected to represent their country at next month’s international event, including reigning world champion Charles Hamelin, 2018 Olympic medalists Kim Boutin and Sam Girard, and up-and-coming skaters Alyson Charles and Steven Dubois, who combined to win seven World Cup medals this season. They will be joined by recent Olympians Pascal Dion, Charle Cournoyer and Kasandra Bradette, as well a pair of world championship rookies in Courtney Sarault and Camille de Serres-Rainville.
