March 13, 2024 – Winnipeg MB – Nominations are now open for the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024. All members of the public are invited to nominate a deserving candidate by 11:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15. The nominees, along with those who have been on the ballot without successful selection for three years, will be eligible for consideration.

Nominations can be made in one of four categories:

  • Individual Athlete
  • Builder
  • Athlete/Builder
  • Team

“There’s an incredible history of our athletic achievements in our province, and the Hall of Fame is an important way for us to acknowledge and celebrate these individuals, builders, and teams,” said Janet McMahon, Sport Manitoba President & CEO. “There are so many people across the sport landscape who deserve recognition, and I hope Manitobans take the opportunity to submit nominations. I look forward to hearing about our nominees as the months progress.”

To be eligible for consideration, a candidate must be born or lived in Manitoba, or spent the highlighted portion of their career competing for our province.

“This is one of the most exciting times of the year for the Hall of Fame,” said Matthew Leibl, Chair of the Selection Committee. “Reading the nominations and seeing stories of incredible dedication and achievement in sport is inspiring. I’m looking forward to seeing who is put forward this year.”
