May Newsletter – Charting a New Path: Latest Updates to Canadian Women & Sport
Spring is (finally) here! And with the new season, brings new opportunities for the future of the Canadian sport system. On April 19th, 2021, the Federal Budget was announced and included $80M dedicated to growing sport, physical activity and recreation in Canada, with attention to diversity and inclusion as integral components. The announcement also made history as The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, became the first woman to deliver a federal budget.
