Nominations are now open for the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025. All members of the public are invited to nominate a deserving candidate by 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15. The nominees, along with those who have been on the ballot without successful selection for three years, will be eligible for consideration.
Nominations can be made in one of four categories:
- Individual Athlete
- Builder
- Athlete/Builder
- Team
“The annual Hall of Fame induction provides an important way for us to acknowledge and celebrate Manitoba’s athletes, builders, and teams,” said Janet McMahon, Sport Manitoba President & CEO. “There are so many individuals who deserve recognition, and I hope Manitobans take the opportunity to submit nominations. I look forward to hearing about our 2025 nominees!”
To be eligible for consideration, a candidate must be born or lived in Manitoba, or spent the highlighted portion of their career competing for our province.
“The nomination season for the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame is exceedingly meaningful,” said Matthew Leibl, Chair of the Selection Committee. “Seeing the inspiring stories we collect in this stage is remarkable.”
Nominate a deserving individual or team using our Nomination Form and provide supporting documents to halloffame@sportmanitoba.ca.
The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame’s Selection Committee will meet in May to determine its slate of nominees, which will ultimately be approved by its Board of Directors. Formal introduction of the Class of 2025 will follow.
