Manitoba Soccer Association Unveils Rosters for 2025 Canada Summer Games

WINNIPEG, MB – July 8, 2025 – The Manitoba Soccer Association (MSA) is proud to announce the official rosters for both the male and female soccer teams representing Manitoba at the highly anticipated 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The Games are set to take place from August 8 to August 25, with the soccer tournaments running from August 10-15 for the male competition and August 19-24 for the female competition.

After an extensive selection process that saw dedicated young athletes from across the province showcase their talent and commitment, the final 18-player rosters, along with alternates, have been confirmed. These promising athletes represent the culmination of hard work, training, and dedication to the beautiful game.

“We are incredibly excited to announce the talented young men and women who will proudly wear Manitoba colours at the 2025 Canada Summer Games,” said Chris Lourenco, Technical Lead, Manitoba Soccer Association. “This group of players has demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and a relentless drive to succeed. We have full confidence that they will represent our province with integrity and passion on the national stage.”

The selection process, overseen by the coaching staff of each team, focused on identifying athletes who not only possess strong technical abilities but also embody the spirit of sportsmanship and dedication. The teams have been undergoing training and preparation to ensure they are at their peak performance for the Games.

The 2025 Canada Summer Games will bring together over 4,000 athletes from across Canada to compete in 19 sports. The soccer tournaments will be a highlight of the Games, providing a platform for these young athletes to gain valuable experience, compete against the best in the country, and create lasting memories.

“This is a monumental opportunity for our athletes to compete at a national multi-sport event,” added Héctor Vergara, Executive Director, Manitoba Soccer Association. “The Canada Summer Games are a critical step in the development pathway for many aspiring soccer players, and we are thrilled to support them on this journey.”
