Major Foursome of Clarke, Duval, Singh and Toms Ready to Tee it Up at 2025 Rogers Charity Classic

CALGARY –A new foursome of PGA TOUR major winners have booked their tickets for the 2025 Rogers Charity Classic, August 11-17, in Calgary.

Darren Clarke (2011 British Open), David Duval (2001 British Open), three-time major titleholder, Vijay Singh (2000 Masters, 2004 and 1998 PGA Championship) and David Toms (2001 PGA Championship)  will join previously announced Canadians including Team Rogers athlete, Mike Weir (2003 Masters) along with Stephen Ames in the 78-man field at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club this summer.

“Each one of these exceptional ball strikers, who have all shown they can deliver on the biggest stage, are great additions to what is shaping up to be another strong field,” said Sean Van Kesteren, executive director, Rogers Charity Classic. “These four continue to be amongst the best players each year on the PGA TOUR Champions. They have shown they are still very competitive, and I know they will be ready to duel it out in Calgary.”

Northern Ireland’s Darren Clarke has been bringing his fun-loving personality to Calgary since he turned 50 in 2018. Clarke won 14 times on the European Tour and three times on the PGA TOUR throughout his career. Captain of the 2016 European Ryder Cup Team, he was a member of five consecutive Ryder Cup squads between 1997 and 2006 — four times on the winning side.

“I absolutely can’t wait to get back to the Rogers Charity Classic,” said Clarke, who has four wins on the over 50 swing. “It is probably the best atmosphere we have on Tour, incredible crowds, a fantastic golf course and great people. And for sure we have always even found one or two great bars as well.”

David Duval will be looking for his first PGA TOUR Champions victory when he tees it up in Calgary for a third time. The former world number one is a 13-time winner on the PGA TOUR. His final victory came at the 2001 Open Championship. Now competing in his fourth season on the PGA TOUR Champions, Duval first introduced himself to the world with seven second-place finishes from 1995-1997 after breaking onto the PGA TOUR that included the 1996 Canadian Open. He qualified for the 1996 Presidents Cup where he was undefeated for the Americans. A two-time member of the United States Ryder Cup Team, Duval also posted two, second place finishes at both The Masters and U.S. Open.

Another former number one ranked player in the world, Vijay Singh, will return north of the border for an eighth time. Remembered by Canadian golf fans for out-dueling Mike Weir in a playoff to win the 2004 Canadian Open, the big hitter from Fiji has enjoyed an illustrious career that also saw him add a Masters Green Jacket to his wardrobe between his two PGA Championship triumphs.

“I have fond memories of playing in Canada,” said Singh. “The fans share my passion for the game and have always treated me with great respect. I am excited to have the opportunity to try and win another title in Canada this August.”

Singh’s impressive resume includes 34 tournament titles on the PGA TOUR, ranking him third, behind only Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, on the all-time money list. Now 62, Singh has swung into the winner’s circle five times on the PGA TOUR Champions.

One of the most steady players on the PGA TOUR Champions, David Toms, rounds out the latest foursome to be added to the Rogers Charity Classic.

A four-time winner on the senior circuit, the 58-year-old Toms also has finished runner-up eight times in addition to eight more third-place finishes.

A variety of ticketing options for the 2025 Rogers Charity Classic are available, including different packages for premier spectator and enhanced viewing and hosting experiences. Tickets are available for purchase at https://rogerscharityclassic.com/buytickets/.
