Montréal, September 28, 2020 – Gaëtan Robitaille, President and CEO of the Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec), is delighted to announce the appointment of Jean Gosselin, PRP, APR to the newly created position of
Communication and Marketing Director. Effective immediately, this appointment is in line with the organization’s process of growth and is proof of a desire to increase the resources that go toward outreach and
marketing at INS Québec. The actions of this new department will focus on both the sporting community and peer networks, the business community, the media and the general public. The department will also support the
communications and marketing initiatives of teams at the Institut and be heavily involved with internal communication activities and in developing
employer branding.

He joins our management team as someone that we know and who knows us, having supported us as an external consultant over the past few years.”

A certified member of the Canadian Public Relations Society, Jean Gosselin brings a wealth of expertise with him in the fields of corporate communications, public affairs, marketing communications and issues and crisis management communications. He is also recognized for his knowledge of sports marketing and sponsorship. Having started out with a number of sports and recreation organizations, he has enjoyed a successful
fourteen-year career within Canada’s largest PR firm, where he was Vice President, Public Affairs at the time of leaving. He subsequently worked at the Canadian Olympic Committee for a 14-month contract focusing on strategic communications, government relations and issue management. Before his appointment at INS Québec, he had been working as a freelance strategic consultant in corporate communications since 2012.
