ISAK Level 1 course offered at UBC April 3-5

Gain the knowledge and skill needed to measure human physique through this 3-day course hosted by The Canadian Sport Institute Pacific at the University of British Columbia. Students will learn theory and be immersed in hands-on practical sessions across the first 2 days of the
course. An exam is held on the 3rd day and final certification is attained once students complete 20 profiles following course completion.

 

The instructor, Marcos Lovera, has been involved in anthropometric projects in the fields of football/soccer, powerlifting and boxing. His degree is in Physical Education and he specializes mainly in sport performance together with other areas such as kinanthropometry, physical training, athlete testing and body image. As a boxing specialist, he currently works in both Canada and Argentina as a Coach, Manager and promoter.

(1 hour lunch break at 1pm)

Current Level 1 anthropometrists interested in re-certifying need only take the exam on April 5th, but are welcome to attend as much of the course as desired. Cost is the $100 membership fee.
