Invitation: 2020 FINA Diving World Series kick-off

Montreal, February 24, 2020 – To kick-off the 2020 FINA Diving World Series in Montreal, Diving Canada and FINA invite members of the media to a news conference. This will be the last opportunity to meet with the Canadian and international divers before the competition starts. The conference will be emceed by two-time Olympic medalist Roseline Filion.

The competition will run from Friday, February 28th to Sunday, March 1st and will welcome 72 athletes from 13 leading diving nations. The complete roster and a detailed event schedule are available at www.diving.ca/worldseries

WHEN: Thursday, February 27, 2020

  • Images opportunity during training – 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am (Team CAN, NZL, PUR, USA)
  • Press conference – 10:30 a.m.
  • Individual interviews – following the press conference

  • Mitch Geller, Chief Technical Officer, Diving Canada
  • Jennifer Abel, Team CAN, Olympic medalist

  • David Boudia, Team USA, four-time Olympic champion

WHERE: Ground floor,National Sport Institute Complex, Montreal Olympic Park
  All divers from the Canadian diving team will also be available for interviews: Meaghan Benfeito, Caeli McKay, Philippe Gagné, François Imbeau-Dulac, Vincent Riendeau, Pamela Ware and Nathan Zsombor-Murray.
