Intact Insurance and Speed Skating Canada renew longstanding partnership

OTTAWA, ONTARIO  Intact Insurance and Speed Skating Canada are proud to announce a renewal of their longstanding partnership, which began in 2006 and will now extend through the 2025-26 season. As leaders in the Canadian insurance and amateur sport fields, respectively, the two organizations will continue their joint pursuit of excellence in the development of speed skaters from the grassroots to the National Team level.

Intact Insurance is proud to continue its sponsorship of Speed Skating Canada for another four years, said Humberto Valencia, Vice President, Marketing, Customer and Data Experience at Intact Insurance. Speed Skating Canada is committed to empowering athletes and young people, not just in sport but in their development as human beings as well. We are delighted to partner with an organization whose values align so closely with our own.

Under the renewed agreement, Intact Insurance will continue to serve as premier sponsor of Canadas national speed skating teams, while supporting community sport through the grants offered as part of its namesake Club Excellence Award. In addition, Intact Insurance will present a nation-wide tour of Olympic and World Championship medalists this fall and in 2026, under the new Medals on Tour banner.

Our partnership with Intact Insurance is one of the longest standing collaborations in Canadian amateur sport, said Susan Auch, CEO of Speed Skating Canada. We are immensely grateful for the continued investment of Intact Insurance as we join together to grow speed skating in communities across the country and power athletes toward their dream of representing Canada on the world stage.
