Ontario athletes are bringing home 8 medals – 2 Gold, 2 Silver, 4 Bronze. Ontario athletes won 31% of Team Canada’s medals.
Team Canada Women’s Hockey (12 Ontario / 10 CSIO Affiliated Athletes) won Gold – their sport’s remarkable seventh consecutive Olympic Winter Games medal – previously Women’s Hockey brought home 4 Gold medals (2002, 2006, 2010, 2014) and 2 Silver medals (1998, 2018).
Snow or ice – Team Canada and Ontario athletes showed their talent and grit in Beijing, making our nation proud. From flying and flipping through the air to racing down the mountain, and from sliding down the ice chute to gliding around the rink, the awe-inspiring performances by our athletes were captivating to watch.
