Quotes:

“I think probably just time being able to adjust to the jet lag plan and being acclimatized to the area. The start as well, plus contributing some offense right off the bat. I thought today we played more of a 60 minute game and had all four lines rolling.”

  • Troy Ryan (Spryfield, N.S.), Team Canada Head Coach on the difference from game one to two

“It feels really good and the girls played great in front of me today. It was just really exciting to get the win and execute a full 60 minutes to get the win. The quick start was huge, that got us going, it gave us a lot of momentum and we just rolled from there, we trusted our systems and played really well.”

  • Campbell on her first career win

“I think our team as a whole, we were rolling today and creating a lot of offense. I think it’s always nice when they’re going in for you and I thought my line did a really good job of getting pucks to the net and I was able to bury some. Our team really talked about getting off to a good start and setting the tone. For Bacher [Victoria Bach] to make that pass to me on the first for a breakaway, it felt pretty good to bury that one and set the tone for the game.”

  • Spooner on the team’s offensive output and team dynamics
