Gold for Les Suprêmes Senior and Silver for Les Suprêmes Junior

Norwood, U.S.A. (February 8, 2025) – Les Suprêmes senior and junior will both head home from Massachusetts with medals they won at the U.S. Synchronized Skating International Classic.

Les Suprêmes Senior, of Saint-Léonard, Quebec, soared to the top of the podium in Norwood thanks to a spectacular free program. Provisionally second after their short program, for which they earned 77.56 points, the reigning Canadian champions were awarded 147.64 points for their free program. Their grand total of 225.20 earned them the gold medal. Finland’s Team Unique jumped from fourth place to second (224.53) on Saturday to take the silver medal, followed by the Haydenettes of the U.S.A., with 218.77 points.

“We just delivered a great free program! We’ve been working hard on some of our technical elements, as well as our consistency, and that really showed through in today’s performance. The cheers of the crowd also helped us a lot. We could tell how much they were enjoying what we were doing on the ice,” said Les Suprêmes Senior co-captain Olivia Di Giandomenico.

Nova Senior, of Saint-Hubert, Quebec, finished fifth after earning a score of 132.94 for their free program on Saturday, which brought their total to 204.90.

Les Suprêmes Junior was the first Canadian team to win a medal on Saturday, securing the silver medal in their category. Their excellent performance today came only weeks after their bronze medal at the 2025 Dresden Cup in Germany. This time, the team from Saint-Léonard, Quebec, earned a total of 192.88 points to secure their spot on the second step of the podium in Norwood. They were awarded 70.92 points for their short program and 121.96 for their free program. The only team to outscore them was Teams Elite Junior of the U.S.A., with a total of 201.74. The junior Skyliners, also of the U.S.A., completed the podium with a final score of 188.24.

“I think our free program went really well. We had a little trouble with one of the lifts, but we recovered well, and all our other elements went well. We delivered a good performance,” said Gabriella Musi, co-captain of Les Suprêmes Junior. The team will now begin preparing for the Junior World Championships.

Team NEXXICE Junior, of Burlington, Ontario, finished fifth on Saturday with a total score of 181.92.
