Field Hockey Canada Celebrates Hall of Fame Class of 2020
August is Hall of Fame month and over the next four weeks, Field Hockey Canada will be celebrating the 2020 class of inductees. Watch every week for individual stories, videos and photos of eight storied field hockey careers and a national team that achieved international glory. Join us by sharing on social media and reading/watching/learning about our amazing legacy.

FHC Digital Archive Collection Call
Field Hockey Canada is working on a digital archive that will store many of the wonderful memories of our history. If YOU have any notable photos, videos, or documents that you would like to share add them to our ONE DRIVE. When uploading your files, please add them to the correct decade folder.
Upon upload, please fill out our form to provide details on the memories you have shared with us.
FHC Billeting Program
Field Hockey Canada has launched the FHC Billeting Program and is seeking interest from families based in Vancouver who may be able to participate as billeting hosts. Athletes requiring billets are encouraged to sign up for this program as well!

Community Spotlight : Janet Beverley
Janet Beverley has engaged in many roles in the field hockey community from player to coach to umpire to administrator to historian, and the list goes on. Her expertise and support in programs across the regions has been immensely impactful in developing the Canadian field hockey community. As she returns home to Australia, Field Hockey Canada would like to THANK her for her contributions over the decades and we wish her the best of luck in her future pursuits!

Junior Men’s & Women’s National Teams Leaving for the Junior Pan American Cup
Field Hockey Canada is sending their best wishes to the Junior Men’s and Women’s National Teams that will represent Canada at the 2021 Junior Pan American Cup in Santiago, Chile from August 21-28. Stay tuned for more details on how to stream the games from home.

Adam Froese Announces Retirement

2021 FHC Coaching Awards: Nominations Open
Field Hockey Canada is excited to announce that nominations for the annual FHC Coaching Awards are now open. Awards will be given in the following categories during this year’s Coaches Week Event, held From September 18-25, 2021.

SafeSport Mandatory Standards
A reminder that all coaches working on field with athletes, regardless of age, stage or level of field hockey must have completed mandatory safesport education.

Community Coach – eLearning Module
Coaches who will be working with their club or school programs this fall should be pursuing Community Coach Education. Field Hockey Canada’s Community eLearning module is the entry point for coach education in our sport, and is recognized with FIH Level 1 equivalency.

Competition Introduction Coach Workshop
Coach Developers across the country are being trained to deliver FHC’s updated 2021 Competition Introduction Coach Workshop. This hybrid, digital/on field course includes 4 modules delivered digitally, 5 at home assignments and one 2.5hr on field module. This workshop will be facilitated through the Provincial Sport Organizations, contact your PSO office for more details.
