Montréal (Québec) – First launched in March 2019 to coincide with the creation of the Canadian Sport Helpline, the www.abuse-free-sport.ca website was recently remodelled and now provides content on a variety of topics related to safe sport in Canada. With a focus on facilitating access to information for participants in the sport system, the improved site will be regularly updated to reflect developments in this evolving sphere.
In addition to hosting the webpage of the Canadian Sport Helpline and its free-of-charge downloadable promotional material, the site combines information on the Investigation Unit, on the role of independent third parties in the management of complaints, on the national Universal Code of Conduct, on harassment and abuse prevention and education initiatives, as well as a vast array of other resources.
The Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada hopes that this website becomes a resource centre for all members of the Canadian sport community and invites its visitors to share any relevant information that could be added.
