Equestrian Canada Dressage Awards Program Suspended for 2020

Ottawa, ON, Aug. 6, 2020 – Equestrian Canada (EC) would like to announce the suspension of the 2020 Dressage Awards Program.

Due to the impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, provinces/territories have varied in their state of readiness to return to training and competition. This has affected athletes and competition organizers alike and means that a level playing field for all participants will not be achievable nationwide.

EC thoroughly considered this problem and made the difficult decision to suspend the Dressage Awards Program for the 2020 competition season.

The Dressage Committee is taking this opportunity to complete a review of the current awards with the goal of offering an improved program for 2021. This review process includes collecting feedback from the community on what you would like to see from the awards program. If you would like to participate in the feedback survey, please click here.

For additional questions and/or concerns, please contact Christine Peters, Senior Manager, Dressage Olympic/Paralympic Program, at cpeters@equestrian.ca.
