Edmonton Welcomes Athletes for the 2022 World Dodgeball Championships

AUGUST 31, 2022 (Edmonton, AB) — Dodgeball athletes from around the world are gathering in Edmonton this week to compete at the Saville Community Sports Centre on the University of Alberta campus from August 31 to September 4, 2022. Dodgeball Canada is the host of the five-day tournament, which will be the largest world championship tournament to date with six divisions across two disciplines.

“The World Dodgeball Federation is delighted to be partnering with Dodgeball Canada to bring the event to Edmonton,” said World Dodgeball Federation President Duane Wysynski. “We are treating this event as an international return-to-play and a celebration of the sport. It will be more than just the championships, as we will be hosting a sports conference and industry exposition as a means to bring our members together along with leaders in other sports and sport organizations.”

Over 60 teams will be bringing teamwork and fierce gameplay to this must-see event for those who embrace high-energy, high-integrity international competition. Stream live coverage daily from 8:30am to 7:30pm MT on dodgeballttv.com or CBC Gem.
