Cleve’s Source for Sports Athletes of the Month announced

Sport Nova Scotia – (Halifax, October 21, 2019)- Andrew Todd is the Cleve’s Source for Sports Male Athlete of the Month for October. The 30-year-old rower won gold in the PR3 men’s single event at the 2019 RCA national rowing championships in Burnaby, BC. In addition to his gold medal in the para category, Todd also finished in the top 20 overall in the able-bodied men’s single event.

Claire Ellison is the Cleve’s Source for Sports Female Athlete of the Month for September. The 18-year-old rower won gold in the junior women’s single event at the 2019 RCA national rowing championships. Ellison was also awarded the Bobby Pearce Award for being selected as the female junior athlete of the year by Rowing Canada Aviron following the regatta.

The Athlete of the Month program is administered by Sport Nova Scotia, whose members are eligible to nominate athletes for the awards. A membership committee selects the award recipients for five possible categories: Male Individual Athlete, Female Individual Athlete, Male Team Athlete, Female Team Athlete, and Team.
