Celebrate National Coaches Week 2021 with free coach education

Saturday September 18 marks the beginning of the seventh annual National Coaches Week, a week-long celebration (September 18 to 26, 2021) of the positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada.

In celebration of National Coaches Week, Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) is offering theĀ RCA Rowing EssentialsĀ e-module for free (regularly $20). This e-module was developed by RCA and equips coaches with important technical and safety knowledge. It can be accessed via theĀ eLearning page in the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) Locker.

All coaches are required to complete the RCA Rowing Essentials e-module as part of RCAā€™s ā€˜Every Coach Certifiedā€™ initiative. Coaches new to the NCCP as of April 2019 are also required to complete the NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport e-module (free during National Coaches Week).

Coaches who complete one or both of the RCA Rowing Essentials and NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport e-modules during National Coaches Week will be entered into a draw to win a limited editionĀ Tokyo Supporter T-Shirt.

In addition, the CAC is offering many free eLearning modules during National Coaches Week, including NCCP Coaching Athletes with a Disability, Mental Health in Sport, and Safe Sport Training. These can also all be accessed via theĀ eLearning page in the CAC LockerĀ and coaches will receive Professional Development Points upon completion!
