Four of Canada’s biggest track & field stars will be meeting with dozens of young athletics club members for a Q&A session and autograph signing, ahead of the 2023 Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships in Langley, BC.

Andre De Grasse, Georgia Ellenwood, Nate Riech and Bianca Borgella will interact with young athletes on Wednesday, July 26. Media are invited to attend the event and scrum with the athletes.

Andre De Grasse is one of Canada’s most decorated athletes – the owner of six Olympic medals and five World Championships medals, while competing in the 100 metres, the 200 metres and the 4×100 metre relay.

Georgia Ellenwood is a Tokyo 2020 Olympian, competing in the heptathlon. Before becoming a star on the world stage, Ellenwood was a standout athlete at Langley Secondary School, just minutes from McLeod Athletic Park, which will host the 2023 Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships.

Nate Riech won his second world championship, earlier this month in Paris. In addition to his two world titles, Riech is also the reigning T38 1500 metre champion from the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games.

Bianca Borgella made an impact in her first World Para Athletics Championships this month, earning a silver medal in the T13 200 metres and bronze in the T13 100 metres.

The 2023 Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships will take place at Langley’s McLeod Athletic Park, July 27 – 30. More than 1,300 athletes and 200 coaches will compete for national championships for Senior, U20, Para Athletics and Combined Events.

The event will feature many of Canada’s top athletes, with the 2023 Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships serving as Trials for the World Athletics Championships.
