Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities is once again accepting Community Development Grant applications.

Organizations may apply for either the Programming or Operational funding stream.

The Operational stream assists organizations with operational and administrative costs, while the Programming stream helps organizations develop or sustain sports and recreational programming for kids aged 4-18 in financial need and youth with disabilities between the ages of 4-25. Programs must be starting between September 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022 to be eligible.

While organizations can apply for both an Operational or Programming Grant within the same period, the requests must be clearly justified, and funding will be dependent on quality of the application and
overall demand.

Jumpstart staff will be reviewing and scoring each application using a framework that was developed with input from a panel of industry experts. All applications will be evaluated and prioritized using an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion score based on the applicant’s efforts to address systemic barriers to sport and recreation in the following communities:

  • Families in financial need,
  • Children with disabilities,
  • BIPOC children and youth, and
  • Girls and young women.

Application Closes: July 15, 2022 at 11:59 PM ET (8:59 PM PT)
