Canadian Teams Set to Compete at 2019 Slo-Pitch Border Battle

Softball Canada – Midland, Mich. – The Canadian Men’s and Women’s Slo-Pitch Teams are ready to compete at the 2019 Slo-Pitch Border Battle, which will consist of a series of games in Midland, Mich. from July 25 to 28, with the two Border Battle games between Canada and the United States scheduled to take place on Saturday. The Women’s Slo-Pitch Border Battle will be played at 5:30pm EDT followed by the Men’s Slo-Pitch Border Battle at 7:00pm EDT.
 
A total of six Men’s teams and six Women’s teams will compete in a series of exhibition games preceding the annual Border Battle. In addition to Team Canada and Team USA, other teams competing on the Men’s side will be the USA Futures, Wallace Lawn Care/Gillies, OC and Comatose. The Women’s event will include USA Women’s Futures, On Point, OC and Low Bobs/Shirts & Logos.
 
Team USA is coming off a pair of wins at last year’s event in Kitchener, Ont., with the Women’s team defeating Team Canada 14-5 and the Men’s team won 30-13. Canada swept the event the year before, as the Men’s team defeated the United States 31-28 and the Women’s team won the inaugural Women’s event by a 12-8 score.
