Sail Canada – Let the wind blow at the 2019 Pan Am Games

Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 – Paracas, Peru

Day four at the 2019 Pan Am Games delivered a consistent breeze throughout the day allowing all Canadian sailors to hit the water by noon. Catching up on some much-needed racing, each fleet was able to complete over two races and move up the scoreboard.

Our Pan Am and Olympic veteran, Luke Ramsay, made his way up the scoreboard today. With 2nd, 1st, and 3rd place finishes, this sailor now sits at the top of the fleet standing 1st overall. “It’s all about being focused on the next move” he explains, “the start, the first shift, the next wave. I’m focused on the details and forget about the big picture.”

While being at games isn’t something new, Luke says being on the water makes him feel like a kid again, “I’m just enjoying the fight on the water every day.”

Here are the standings after day 4:
Laser – Robert Davis – 8th
Laser Radial – Sarah Douglas – 3rd
