Canadian Olympic Committee Named one of the Best Workplaces in Canada

TORONTO (April 4, 2025) — The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and the Canadian Olympic Foundation (COF) are proud to be recognized as one of the Best Workplaces™ in Canada for the fifth time by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada.

“Being recognized as a Great Place to Work is always an honour as it reflects all we strive to do as an organization. Everyone here truly believes in our mission to transform Canada through the power of sport, and it’s reflected in the hard work, commitment to excellence, and passion of all my colleagues,” said David Shoemaker, COC Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General. “As we look ahead to Milano Cortina 2026 and beyond, I’m excited to see what comes next for our great team.”

The results are based on the 2024 Trust Index© annual survey results and an independent assessment of programs and processes by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The 2025 Best Workplaces™ in Canada is also published as a Special National Report in The Globe and Mail today. In addition to being named one of the Best Workplaces™ in Canada, the COC was also named one of the Best Workplaces™ for Today’s Youth for 2024.

“This recognition is really about the people who make the Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Olympic Foundation what it is. We lift each other and rally around a cause greater than ourselves every single day,” said Candice Maxis, COC Chief People and Culture Officer. “I am incredibly proud of our culture, this recognition, and most importantly, these amazing people I have the privilege of working with.”

The COC, along with the COF, has 124 permanent employees who primarily work out of offices in Toronto and Montreal.
