Canadian Freestyle Skier Simon d’Artois Named CSI Pacific Athlete of the Month Powered by 2XU

Canadian Sport Institute Pacific – VICTORIA, BC – National team freestyle skier and 2018 Olympian Simon d’Artois has been named CSI Pacific Athlete of the Month Powered by 2XU for February 2019.

The Athlete of the Month is Canadian Sport Institute Pacific (CSI Pacific)’s way of acknowledging a BC-located athlete who has displayed outstanding performances in their sport and deserves recognition. Athletes chosen monthly to be the face of Canadian Sport Institute Pacific receive a feature on our CSI Pacific’s website and a gift from 2XU.

Simon notched his first World Cup ski halfpipe win of his career on December 20th, 2018 in Secret Garden, China. He now leads this season’s World Cup standings after the first two events of the year.

Hailing from Whistler, BC Simon has been on the national team of Freestyle Canada since 2012. D’Artois started skiing at age three, began competing in local freestyle events at age 13 and joined the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Club when he was 14 years old.

Simon went to his first Olympics, competing in Halfpipe at PyeongChang 2018, and finishing 13th.
