Recurve men

  • Eric Peters (ON)
  • Devaang Gupta (ON)
  • Conner Sorley (ON)

The team will be accompanied by the following technical leadership staff:

Smandych has, in the past, been more active in the field and 3D disciplines. He has competed at the Vegas Shoot, World Archery Field Championships and World Archery 3D Championships. The compound program is excited to see him shoot in this World Cup.

Peters and Barrett just finished competing in Korea in the second stage of the 2022 World Cup. Peters concluded the individual tournament in 9th place, and Barrett won her first elimination round, unfortunately dropping her second match. As a mixed team, they shot their way into the bronze medal match and while it was a close fight, their Dutch opponents walked away with the victory.

This is the first international competition of the 2022 outdoor season for Andrew Azores and Conner Sorley. Azores most recently competed at the Hyundai World Archery Championships in Yankton, USA in September 2021. Sorley was at three World Cup stages in 2021 – Guatemala City, Lausanne, and Paris. It will be Devaang Gupta’s first major international event.

This event will follow the same format as the first two stages of the World Cup, with a 720 round determining the placement of the athletes and their opponents for the first round of elimination matches.
