The final four teams competing in the 2023 Canadian Championship will meet in a Semi-Final doubleheader showdown on Wednesday 24 May as the annual Battle of the North nears a conclusion. The two knockout matches will be played back-to-back as Canadian club football takes centre stage, with the winners qualifying for the Canadian Championship Final in early June.

CF Montréal will host Forge FC at Stade Saputo in the opening match (19.00 local / 19.00 ET / 16.00 PT), followed by Pacific FC hosting Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Starlight Stadium Vancouver Island (19.00 local / 22.00 ET / 19.00 PT). Both matches will be broadcast live on OneSoccer with extended Canadian Championship coverage published across Canada Soccer’s digital channels including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube featuring the hashtag #CanChamp.

The CF Montréal – Forge FC match-up will mark the third year in a row that the two sides have met in the Canadian Championship, and the second time that they will meet at the Semi-Final stage. CF Montréal eliminated Forge FC in the 2021 Semi-Finals and 2022 Quarter-Finals in the two previous meetings.

Pacific FC will meet the 2022 champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC in an all-British Columbia Semi-Finals match-up. Just two years ago, Pacific FC defeated Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Starlight Stadium in the Preliminary Round of the 2021 competition.

Canada Soccer’s Canadian Championship, also known as the Battle of the North, is the nation’s highest men’s domestic competition featuring clubs from coast to coast across the country, notably professional teams in Major League Soccer and the Canadian Premier League as well as league winners in League1 BC, League1 Ontario and Ligue1 Québec (Première ligue de soccer du Québec). Winners of the 2023 Canadian Championship lift the Voyageurs Cup and qualify to the annual international competition, Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League. Winners of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup.
