Canada’s athletics team unveiled for 2025 FISU Summer World University Games

6 Manitobans have been named to the FISU World University Games Athletics Team

Winnipeg, MB – Earlier today U SPORTS, the Canadian representative of the International University Sports Federation announced the final roster of Canadian athletics athletes set to compete at the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU Summer World University Games. The roster included an historic group of 6 Manitobans all set to compete (and coach) at the Games.

Athletics Manitoba is thrilled to congratulate the group on this incredible achievement and we look forward to following along on their journey. 

This is the first National Team appointment for 5 of the 6 Manitobans, with Jordan Soufi having previously attended the Pan American U20 Championships in 2019. He also recently attended the Team Canada Relay training camp in Gainesville, Florida. Jordan won SIlver at the U Sport National Championships in the 60m.

Dawson Mann most recently won Gold at the U Sports National Championships in the 600m and Bronze with the 4x400m team. 

Lara Denbow won Gold at the U Sports National Championships in the High Jump.

Daxx Turner won Silver at the U Sports National Championships in the Triple Jump.
